Taichi Wins NEVER Openweight Title From Jeff Cobb At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku
Jeff Cobb’s reign as NEVER Openweight Champion is already over.
During night one of NJPW’s Wrestling Dontaku event, Taichi defeated Jeff Cobb to win the NEVER Openweight Title. Cobb won the title at ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard when he defeated Will Ospreay. The bout against Taichi was his first scheduled title defense.
With this victory, Taichi is now a two-time NEVER Openweight Champion. He first won the title back in Sept. 2018, a reign that lasted 47 days and included zero successful title defenses.
