TAELER: Ohio Valley Wrestling Looks To Reach New Heights
In spite of a pandemic stricken 2020 Ohio Valley Wrestling has continued to break new ground in the Pro Wrestling Industry. So far in 2021, amidst new Covid-19 protocols, OVW is crushing major goals. Barely one full month into the new year and OVW has wasted no time as it hit the ground running. Grinding away and most assuredly gaining speed,OVW continues to uphold the heart and soul upon which the company was founded. “Tomorrow’s Superstars Today,” is alive and well. More than just surviving, Ohio Valley Wrestling is thriving delivering a level of pure excellence.
Under the returned leadership of Al Snow over the last couple of years OVW has indeed flourished. After taking over from former OVW founder/owner Nightmare Danny Davis, OVW has modernized while simultaneously maintaining its aforementioned bluegrass roots. An exemplary tried and true formula that’s proven success from its original ties to the NWA. Through it’s time as WWE developmental. Then on to its original time as TNA IMPACT Wrestling developmental. And now today as a proving ground with a beneficial working relationship once again with IMPACT Wrestling. There’s certainly no time like the present. As OVW talent will attest, the future is now.
When news broke regarding OVW majority ownership interest being purchased, the wrestling world wasn’t quite sure what to expect. OVW has been a mainstay, a constant, and a quite resilient entity within the Industry. So understandably the news was received somewhat pensively to those who couldn’t fathom the vision behind OVW. What does the purchase mean? Why did it happen? How does this affect the landscape in the South and Midwest? All good questions. And all in good time…
In early January it was announced that Matt Jones the founder of Kentucky Sports Radio and Craig Greenberg the former CEO and president of Louisville’s 21c Hotels purchased majority interest in OVW. They and their investment team aim to put their resources and business expertise into building upon the existing progress of OVW under Al Snow. Now, in conjunction with Al Snow they’re going to help OVW reach new heights. To live up to its fullest potential. To break new ground. All for the betterment of the company, the talent, and to do good business by building on the existing legacy of OVW. Training. Online presence. Event broadcasting. Viewerships. Sponsorships…
As avid Pro Wrestling fans both Matt Jones and Craig Greenberg are no strangers to OVW, and share in their elation as it relates to this new venture. They are looking towards the immediate future of OVW with enthusiam. Their mission being to further cultivate and nurture a fun, entertaining, and successful environment currently holding up the foundation of OVW. To take OVW alongside Al Snow and make it a world class premier destination for Pro Wrestling right in the heart of Kentucky.
Fast on the heels of this news, OVW hosted their Nightmare Rumble event. An event presented to fans for free in honor of the new deal brokered on behalf of OVW. The event itself boasted a reported record viewership across its various platforms. Excellent news to further cement the positive aspects of this new team and the impeccable progress of OVW in such a short time with Al Snow and now Matt Jones and Craig Greenberg.
Over the last couple of years Al Snow and the dedicated OVW talent have built a sense of trust equity with fans and the surrounding communities in the bluegrass. This trust equity has an intrinsic value that’s seldom matched by other companies. Their ability to train and deliver T.V. ready talent. Entertaining and affordable programming. Solid connected platforms. Presence within the industry. Coverage within the industry. Trust equity. All of which lead to amazing dividends. Dividends that will only continue to rise at an exponential rate with the ideas and business experience of Jones and Greenberg combined with the stability and knowledge provided by Al Snow.
As a talent who has seen the before and after I couldn’t be happier. As I’ve often said, go train at places with a track record of success. A place with people who’ve achieved what you want to achieve. OVW and Al Snow’s accredited Wrestling School are providing a means to do that. A means to pay dues. Learn from the best. Hone your craft. Get noticed and grow as a superstar. Ohio Valley Wrestling has never been so present and accessible in a social media world than it is today which is beneficial to talent and fans alike.
Ohio Valley Wrestling’s affiliation with Gladiator Sports Network, Film Volt, LTD., Zilla Meals, Against the Grain Brewery and others. Their viewing accessibility. From Roku to WBNA TV 21 on Tuesdays. Amazon Fire to Game+ on Sundays. Prime Video to YTA Network on Fridays. OVW’s YouTube Channel, their website ovwrestling.com, Twitter, and Instagram and live streams. OVW doesn’t just promise tomorrow’s superstars today. From 2019 to now, they’re continuing a trailblazing path to excellence and success like they have for over thirty years. With this new partnership, there’s only up from here. The future is indeed now…
