TAELER: Jacob Fatu Retains MLW World Heavyweight Championship, Historic Reign Continues
Adding another body to the amassing count of Contra was none other than MLW World Heavyweight Champion, Jacob Fatu. Recently on MLW Fusion on BeIN Sports, Champion Jacob Fatu squared off with the challenger ACH. Despite suffering the loss, ACH showed his guts, talent, and tenacity as he went up against Fatu. The two collided in an impressive clash of agility. Jacob Fatu proved in this bout at least, that at this time, he was too high a mountain for ACH climb and claim. I’ve been on shows with both men, and it was no secret to me how innately talented they were. In my mind, it was only a matter of time before they’d be swept up by televised companies. And here we are…
From the moment both set up residence at MLW it ultimately put them on a collision course. A war path that would culminate in a clash of wills against each other. Violence imminent. To the victor goes the spoils! Jacob Fatu versus ACH was a perfect Main Event to headline this episode of MLW Fusion. Both men possess immense talent, body control, athleticism, grit, power, and passion for their craft. Regardless of 2020 being a pandemic stricken year both men have achieved admirable accolades spanning the Independents, MLW, NJPW and more spilling over into 2021.
Jacob Fatu continues to surprise fans with his swift technique in the ring. His agile footwork. His powerful prowess. His highflying capabilities. Fatu proves to be an extremely versatile athlete. A exemplary Champion in spite of the questionable actions of Contra. In ACH, fans will see a resilience only matched by Lio Rush in my opinion. ACH has seen adversity, shook its hand, and said watch me smash through that glass ceiling you built for me. Both men do the business a credit. Jacob Fatu versus ACH was a different sort of David versus Goliath vibe with an entirely different ending. A story that ended with the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion retaining his belt. All in the name of Contra.
I’d love to see ACH work his way back into the Main Event foray and/or seek out MLW Middleweight Champion Lio Rush in a test of wills to vie for a number one contender opportunity. To see who is hungrier. More focused. More tuned in. Either way, Fatu and ACH put on one heck of a Main Event. I was happy watching this bout. Great gets by the MLW Office. Signings I myself would have done if I was the office. A sentiment I’m sure they share especially after this Main Event. Insane in ring chemistry. Great technique. Great in ring psychology. Exciting storytelling. Immensely talented men. Going forward I’m elated to see ACH continue to prove everyone wrong and Jacob Fatu doing his family proud. In the end there could only be one winner. And that was the insurmountable MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu. Hail Contra…
