Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page previously sparked a lot of controversy with their Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear 2023. The blood-drinking spot was especially divisive. Page and Strickland took their rivalry to new heights when they clashed in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match at AEW All Out 2024.

The brutal battle featured many eye-opening moments, including Page injecting Strickland’s cheek with a needle and smashing a chair over his head. Strickland also gouged Page with a wooden stake.

Strickland took to Twitter/X and shared images of the match. He commented on the extreme violence by emphasizing that it was an unsanctioned match. Strickland then questioned what fans expected, and he wrote that they went where others would not.

Page ultimately won the Lights Out Steel Cage Match via knock-out.

RJ City had a brief review of the last two matches at AEW All Out. Check out his comments here.
