Swerve Strickland Defeats Rob Van Dam In Hardcore Match On 1/31 AEW Dynamite
Swerve Strickland picks up a big win.
On the January 31 episode of AEW Dynamite, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page chose Rob Van Dam to face Swerve Strickland in his ‘Dealer’s Choice’ match. Moments before the bout began, Page also revealed that he was able to choose the stipulation for the match, which allowed him to make it a Hardcore Match.

Despite having an early advantage, Van Dam would go on to fall to Strickland, as he was pinned after Strickland hit him with a house call before following that up with his signature Swerve Stomp.

After the conclusion of the match, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page met Strickland in the middle of the ring. After some back and forth, Strickland and Page agreed to fight on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. The winner of that match will challenge Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship at Revolution.
