Swerve Strickland On AEW Possibly Signing Mercedes Mone And Kazuchika Okada: We’re Building Our True Dynasty

Swerve Strickland has commented on the rumors that Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada will soon officially be All Elite.

Swerve Strickland debuted in AEW at AEW Revolution 2022. Two years later, he is one of the promotion’s biggest stars and he is fighting for the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe and Hangman Adam Page.

Fightful Select has previously reported that both Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada are expected to join AEW in the coming weeks.

Speaking with Baby Huey on the In The Kliq podcast, Strickland offered his thoughts on those potential signings by saying that if the rumors are indeed true, it’s further evidence of AEW turning into a dynasty.

“It’s like adding the top free agents to your NFL team. you can’t be upset about that, you can’t be mad about that,” he said. “The best of the best of our generation. Two of the best. If the rumors are true and they are coming over, and that is the choice, and the contracts have been signed, and ink has been put to paper, then we’re building our true dynasty. AEW is now a dynasty. We have the best prospects of the future in pro wrestling right now.

“I think one of the worst things you can do as a fan base is talk about the now and really dwell on the now instead of truly investing in the future. that’s what AEW is doing. That’s what I think we’re doing better all around,100%. Our future looks incredible.”
