Sunny Will Stay In Jail, Awaits Hearing

Tammy "Sunny" Sytch will remain in jail at least through the weekend as she awaits a hearing over an alleged probation violation.

PW Insider was the first media outlet to report that Sytch will remain incarcerated in Carbon County Jail in Pennsylvania, until she sees a judge via video hearing on Monday, October 3, at 9 A.M.

Sytch was arrested and jailed late on Friday, September 23. It is still unknown what Sytch may have done to violate her probation. If she admits to the violation, the judge could issue a ruling right then. If she denies violating probation, a subsequent hearing will be scheduled and her probation officer will have to prove what she did to violate her probation.

Sytch received a sentence of five years of probation in August after she was arrested three times on DUI-related charges in 2015. She also was sentenced to court-manded bi-weekly drug and alcohol testing. At the time, the issuing judge ordered that any positive drug tests or other trouble while on probation would lead to her getting sent back to jail.

Sytch broke into wrestling in 1993 for Smoky Mountain Wrestling. At the time she was a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and was dating a member of the Smoky Mountain roster, Chris Candido. Sytch and Candido left for WWE in 1995, where she managed three different teams to the tag titles.

Sytch had subsequent stints with WCW and ECW, and has continued to make appearances at signings and independent shows in recent years. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
