The Dark Order debuted in AEW in its inaugural year, 2019. The group began with Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, and it later expanded to include Alex Reynolds, John Silver, “10” Preston Vance, “5” Alan Angels, Anna Jay, and Colt Cabana. Mr. Brodie Lee was revealed as The Exalted One in March 2020, and he had a memorable run as the leader of the group until he passed away in December 2020. The stable then became a fan-favorite act, but they lost several members throughout 2022.
Angels left the company when his contract expired, as did Grayson. Plus, Vance and Jay turned heel and aligned with La Faccion Ingobernables and the Jericho Appreciation Society, respectively, and Cabana mostly shifted over to the Ring of Honor roster. Grayson returned to AEW on the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he teamed up with Uno and Hangman Page to face the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta).
During the March 20 episode of Being The Elite, Page excitedly greeted Grayson when he saw him with Silver, Reynolds, and Uno backstage at Dynamite. The group discusses Grayson’s homecoming, as the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite marked AEW’s Winnipeg debut. Grayson then wondered where former Dark Order members Anna Jay, 10 (Preston Vance), and 5 (Alan Angels) had gone. When asked whether he had been watching the product, Grayson joked that he made a pact with Steve and Kevin not to. Reynolds and Uno responded by noting that they understood where he was coming from.
Stu Grayson: Where is Anna, 10, 5, and Colt?
Evil Uno: Have you not watched AEW television in the last… you’ve been gone 11 months, right?
SG: I just want to make something clear. Steve, Kevin and myself made a pact not to watch the product, just so you know.
Alex Reynolds: Can’t break a pact.
EU: It’s completely understandable.
Grayson then wanted to clarify that the group and the company kept coming while he was gone. Reynolds expressed that they did, and Page admitted that it might have been the darkest period in AEW history, but they got through it. Uno called it the darkest order of all, and he indicated that he didn’t want to go down memory lane by explaining where the former members went.
SG: But also, are you telling me that while I was gone, you guys kept doing the wrestling stuff? Like the company kept going?
AR: Yes.
Hangman Page: it was maybe the darkest period in AEW history.
EU. The darkest order of all.
HP: But we got through it.
SG: Okay, we’ll. I’m glad to hear about that.
EU: I would tell you the tales of where they went, but you really don’t want to go down that memory lane, if you will.

The Dark Order went on to thank Page for helping them during their feud with the Blackpool Combat Club. Likewise, Page expressed his gratitude to the group members for being great friends, and he said he loved them. Page and the stablemates hug to punctuate the happy reunion.
The Blackpool Combat Club ultimately defeated Grayson, Uno, and Page on the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite. Grayson, who signed with AEW after his return, later challenged Moxley to a singles match, and they will clash on the March 22 episode of AEW Dynamite. More information is available here.
