Stu Bennett Lists Off A Number Of Wrestlers On The World Of Sport Roster Who Fans Should Look Out For
Stu is excited for the future.
After thirty years of being off the air and a failed reboot in 2016, ITV will be airing World Of Sport today on televisions around the United Kingdom. Wrestlers that are a part of the talent roster include Davey Boy Smith Jr., Will Ospreay, Grado, Viper, Kay Lee Ray and former 5-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett who will be on commentary for World Of Sport alongside SoCal Val and Alex Shane.
To promote the reboot of the show Bennett has been making the rounds on the interview circuit and he recently spoke with Mirror Sport and as the conversation rolled on Bennett named a few of the wrestlers on the W.O.S. roster who viewers need to keep their eyes on.
“Absolutely. There’s a few big names on there, we’ve got a guy called Will Ospreay who’s made a massive name for himself in Japan and amongst other areas and you just need to watch him for 10 seconds to realize this guy is a once in a generation type talent. He has the aerial skills that I didn’t even think that were possible for human beings to move the way he moves. He’s like a stunt man and an acrobat in one and combined with on top of all that, his in-ring skills are incredible. If you like flashy, spectacular style wrestlers, he is your man. I promise you there’s nobody better on the planet than him.” Stu continued, “On top of that there’s another guy called Rampage, who I’m a huge fan of. I’ve known him for about 15 years and he’s just the meanest, nastiest wrestler that I’ve ever come across in my years inside the wrestling ring. So personally as a career villain in the wrestling world, I kinda admire the bad guys more than the fan favorites so, he’s one of my favorites. I know kids are going to love a guy called Grado. He’s more of a comedian style wrestler, he’s kind of a thorn in my side to be honest with you, but I know the kids will love him and he’s a great family style wrestler.
“Then we’ve got another guy called Joe Hendry, a Scottish wrestler, who actually competed for Scotland in the Commonwealth Games recently in freestyle wrestling, so he’s a legit bona fide athlete himself.” He said. “We’ve just got a interesting range of wrestlers with every sort of skill set you can imagine and then on top of that, we’re really promoting the women’s division. We’ve got five or six top women’s wrestlers there who are really going to blow your mind.”
Speaking of former WWE Intercontinental Champions, Seth Rollins will be looking to get back that very title on August 19th at SummerSlam when he challenges Dolph Ziggler for the strap.
