Straight Up Steve Austin Drops To Below One Million Viewers

Just one week after getting back to averaging a million viewers, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s show got its lowest viewership since it premiered.

According to Showbuzz Daily, “Straight Up Steve Austin” averaged 841,000 viewers and a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from the 1,097,000 viewers and 0.44 rating the September 2 episode drew. The September 9 episode featured comedian Gabriel Iglesias as Austin’s guest while the September 2 episode featured Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Similar to the September 2 show, the September 9 show was 14th on cable in the 18-49 demographic.

Through five episodes, the show, which airs on the USA Network immediately after Monday Night Raw goes off the air, has averaged roughly 1,042,000 viewers per episode.

“Straight Up Steve Austin” had to compete head-to-head with the Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos NFL game, which averaged a little more than 10 million viewers on ESPN. Raw also had to compete against the NFL and saw its viewership go down significantly as a result. Viewership numbers for the September 9 episode of Raw can be viewed here.
