‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin: ‘I Think Rhea Ripley And Bianca Belair Are Destined For Greatness’

Steve Austin has high praise for Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.

Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley, two women who will be challenging for the WWE Women’s Championship of their respective brands at this year’s WrestleMania. Both are products of the NXT system and in the past, Triple H has claimed both will be main event superstars.

For Bianca Belair, that moment comes this year as she earned a spot in the main event of WrestleMania by winning the women’s Royal Rumble, last eliminating Ripley. Ripley, however, also has the advantage of having competed in a singles match at WrestleMania already and being singled out by Triple H more often than not when “The Game” is asked to point to the future.

Another Attitude Era legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin had nothing but positive words to say about both women when speaking to Bleacher Report in a recent interview, saying both are destined for greatness.

“I haven’t been tuning in a whole lot because I have a whole lot going on in my personal life, but just from watching the Royal Rumble, I think those last two women—Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair—I think those two are destined for greatness. They still need reps, they still need to learn, but those two have the size, presence, looks, ability to be major, major stars, so we’ll see what the future holds for them.”

Steve Austin main evented in three different WrestleManias and was a featured match at every other WrestleMania he was involved in. However, one thing that was never in question in the Attitude Era was whether or not the Royal Rumble winner would actually headline WrestleMania.

This year, because of the way the brands are split, there are questions regarding whether or not Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks will headline one of the nights of this year’s event. Sasha Banks weighed on this controversy. You can check out her reaction here.
