Stipulation Added To Kenny Omega And Sami Callihan’s IMPACT World Title Match At Slammiversary

A stipulation has been added to Slammiversary’s World Title match.

On Saturday, July 17, Kenny Omega will defend his IMPACT World Championship against Sami Callihan. The Death Machine earned the opportunity last month during a match against Moose, in which The Good Brothers interfered causing a disqualification. Scott D’Amore ruled that Sami would be next in line to face Omega because of the result.

Moose wound up facing Omega in Jacksonville at Against All Odds, but lost thanks, once again, to interference from The Young Bucks. Callihan showed up after the match and attacked Kenny, but was promptly fired by Don Callis. The next week on IMPACT, Tommy Dreamer was sent to the show as a representative of Anthem, AXS’ parent company, and reinstated Sami and fired Callis from his EVP role. As a result, Sami vs. Omega at Slammiversary was back on.

Today, Callihan shared a video online challenging Omega to a No DQ match. He said the following:

“You know what, I’ll get right to the point. Kenny Omega, I got a challenge for you. This Saturday, Slammiversary, IMPACT Wrestling World Championship Match. Let’s make this shit No DQ. Because I ain’t going to let your boys and Don Callis end this match in typical bullshit. So what are you going to do? Are you going to accept and be The Best Bout Machine or are you going to be The Best Bitch Machine? This ain’t going to be your typical 5-star, 6-star, 7-star match at the Tokyo Dome. I’m going to fight dirty. I am going to come at you as soon as that bell rings. So Kenny Omega, what do you say? Are you ready to have a No DQ date with The Death Machine? Thumbs up. Thumbs down!”

Shortly thereafter, the stipulation was made official. Sami Callihan and Kenny Omega’s IMPACT World Title match will be contested with No Disqualifications.

Fightful will have live coverage of IMPACT Slammiversary this Saturday, July 17, beginning at 5 p.m. PST.
