At AEW Revolution, Sting’s legendary career as a wrestler came to an end, as he and Darby Allin defeated The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Sting’s sons got involved in the match, as did Ric Flair and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat.
Sting took to Twitter/X to share his thoughts on his last match. He said he had hoped it would be a memorable night for the fans, but it was a night he would never forget. Sting thanked all the wrestlers and the AEW staff. He also thanked the fans. In the post, he shared pictures and videos of his backstage interactions with wrestlers and legends at the show.
I had hoped #AEWRevolution would be a memorable night for the fans, but it was a night that I personally will never forget.
Thank you to all the wrestlers. Thank you to all the @AEW staff. Thank you to Greensboro. And thank you to the fans, one and all!
