AEW World Tag Team Champions Sting and Darby Allin were set to appear on the February 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, as the show marked the last episode before Sting’s last match at AEW Revolution. The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) struggled to locate Sting throughout the show as he played mind games with them.

In the closing minutes, the Young Bucks came to the ring. Allin came out of the crowd and took the fight to them, but they gained the upper hand. Ric Flair then came out and, after teasing aligning with the Young Bucks, he attacked them instead. The duo overwhelmed him, and Sting’s music played. Matthew and Nicholas walked up the ramp, but Sting instead came down from the rafters, much as he did earlier in his legendary career. Sting and Allin then fought off the Young Bucks.
