Stephanie Vaquer discusses future opportunities in CMLL, NJPW & AEW.

On the October 10, 2023 edition of AEW Rampage, Rocky Romero faced Mistico in a showcase match for CMLL for the accolade of the “Pound for Pound” best in the promotion. This match was the start of All Elite Wrestling’s partnership with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, and now one CMLL’s top stars has provided a comment about the partnership as well as making appearances for New Japan Pro-Wrestling & World of STARDOM.

On the November 8 edition of CMLL Informa, CMLL World Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer spoke with Julio César Rivera regarding CMLL partnerships with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, World of STARDOM & All Elite Wrestling, specifically recalling getting messages to get her to be involved in AEW.

Vaquer stated the following:

“I was very surprised by the embrace from the public from when I went to NJPW. When CMLL announced their partnership with AEW, everyone on Twitter was tagging me saying “We want Stephanie”! Many people in the United States want it and keep sending me messages about it, and I would be proud to represent CMLL, whether in Japan or the United States, and I mean that wholeheartedly.”

Vaquer last competed for STARDOM on the May 8, 2018 edition of Stardom’s “Bright Summer Stardom” event, teaming with STARS (Mayu Iwatani & Saki Kashima) against Ode Tai’s Hazuki, Kagetsu & Natsu Sumire.

Vaquer is set to challenge Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship at the NJPW’s new event “Lonestar Shootout” on November 10, 2023, marking her return to the promotion since facing Mercedes Mone on May 21, 2023, event Resurgence. The Blackpool Combat Club, Bullet Club, Eddie Kingston, and more are set to appear at “Lonestar Shootout”. Fightful will have results for the event.
