Stephanie McMahon Talks Training For Her Upcoming Bout At WrestleMania, And Jokes About Having Impromptu Matches With Her Family

Stephanie McMahon says she's been working hard heading into her first match on "The Grandest Stage Of Them All".

This Sunday at WrestleMania 34 the Chief Brand Officer of WWE Stephanie McMahon will compete in her first match in the history of the event. She will be teaming up with her husband Triple H to take on WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle and the first-ever UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Prior to the bout Stephanie spoke with PEOPLE.com and stated that she has been doing some intense training so that she can give her best performance as possible this Sunday.

“My last match was four years ago and prior to that was 11 years ago,” McMahon said, "We’re talking basically 11 years since I was a regular doing anything in the ring, so I’ve had to recondition my body big time. I’m training a minimum of two times a day, doing intense cardio, boxing, strength and conditioning.”

Stephanie McMahon has been in the wrestling business since she was child thanks to her father; the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon. When Stephanie first started in the company she worked in the merchandise department and now she has worked her way up to the Chief Brand Officer position.

“I always wanted to be a part of WWE ever since I can remember."

Although this will be "The Billion Dollar Princess's" first match at WrestleMania, she jokingly shared that she has had numerous big fight-feel matches with her family in their home.

“We’ve had impromptu matches break out,” McMahon laughed. “They like to wrestle us sometimes because it’s fun. We throw them around and they like to dress up in the outfits and create their own characters, their own personas because that’s what WWE is, it’s storytelling. It’s larger than life characters, it’s excitement, it’s action. Who couldn’t love all of those things?”

Stephanie showed her first glimpse of what she will be bringing to the table this Sunday at WrestleMania when she slammed Ronda Rousey threw a table on RAW this past Monday. Head over to Fightful's coverage of the April 2nd edition of the show to get caught up on segment.
