Stephanie McMahon Says There Are No Talks For A Secondary Women’s Title, But Admits It’s Possible
As the women’s roster in WWE grows, another championship would seem to make sense. As of now, there are five women’s titles in WWE; the Women’s Championships on Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK. There are also the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which can go across all four brands.
As of now, there are no secondary women’s titles in WWE. But it’s possible one gets added as the women’s evolution continues in WWE.
“Possibly!” said Stephanie McMahon when asked by Sportskeeda about WWE adding a secondary Women’s Championship. “I know there aren’t any talks happening with regards to adding another Women’s Championship at the moment, but possibly. As the Women’s Division continues to grow, there may be a need for one.”
Recently, Paige and Corey Graves spoke out about female WWE superstars needing a larger platform. Paige noted that she feels a lot of girls are being held back while Graves just wanted every female, including the champions, to have a bigger spotlight.
In another recent interview, Stephanie noted that WWE is doing its best to listen to the audience. You can view her full comments by clicking here.
