Stardom Likes Being Separate From NJPW, Asks Fans To Support Instead Of Petition
Women’s wrestling in Japan has been a hot topic on social media over the last week with many wondering why women are not incorporated in a company like New Japan. Fightful Select subscriber JDM submitted a column on the topic, which you can read here.
Replying to a question on Twitter, the official US account of Stardom weighed in on the conversation, revealing that they are fine being their own company.
We like being our own company. Women’s wrestling!

Earlier this morning, the company went a step further, challenging those who want to see women’s wrestling in NJPW to support Stardom instead of petitioning NJPW.
Instead of petitioning men’s companies in Japan to have women’s wrestling, why not support women’s wrestling? Let’s give Stardom World a shot for $8/month? Let’s see Stardom’s show in NYC? Which journalists cover Stardom, even though every show is online with English subtitles?

On Dec. 24, Stardom announced that they will be in New York for WrestleMania weekend and will be holding an event on Apr. 5. Tickets for the event are on-sale now.
