Stardom And Bushiroad Issue Statements On Hana Kimura’s Death And Comments Made By Hana’s Mother
Hana Kimura’s mother Kyoko recently spoke out against Bushiroad, the parent company of Stardom, regarding the death of her daughter.
Kyoko stated she asked Bushiroad for cooperation to find the truth about her daughter’s death, but the company refused. Kyoko would go on to file a complaint with the Broadcast Ethics & Program Improvement Organization in Japan, blaming Terrace House for pressuring her daughter into uncomfortable situations, which ultimately led to her being bullied online.
STARDOM issued the following statement (translated via Shigeo)
“There are various news about the death of Hana Kimura, but we are negotiating with the bereaved family through a lawyer. Therefore, we would like to refrain from making any further comments. If we have anything to announce, we will let you know later.”
Bushiroad founder Takaaki Kidani also issued the following statement (translated via Shigeo)
“To be honest, there are so many things I want to say about this matter. However, I put up with it now.”
Hana tragically passed away on May 23, committing suicide after being bullied online due to an incident on “Terrace House.”
Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation as more is known.
