SPOILER: WWE Championship Match Set For The Royal Rumble PPV

Daniel Bryan’s opponent at the Royal Rumble has been determined.

During tonight’s WWE SmackDown TV taping in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daniel Bryan’s opponent for the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view was determined. AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Mustafa Ali and Rey Mysterio competed in a Fatal 5-Way match in the main event of the taping and the winner of said match would secure themselves a WWE Championship opportunity at the Royal Rumble on January 27th. AJ Styles hit a 450-Splash onto Randy Orton to pick up the victory and to earn his WWE Title rematch.

Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles the week before the 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view to become WWE Champion and has since developed a new attitude and refers to himself as “The New” Daniel Bryan. AJ’s #1 contender victory is coming off the helms of him punching Vince McMahon on last week’s show and during the tapings tonight, AJ refused to apologize for what he did to the Chairman.
