On Saturday, April 16, 2022, AEW will present Battle of the Belts II. The show will see the AEW TNT Championship, AEW Women’s Championship, and ROH World Championship defended.
The event was filmed on Friday, April 15 following the conclusion of a special live edition of AEW Rampage, and spoilers have started to emerge online.
One of the matches saw Sammy Guevara challenge Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship. According to reports from the venue, Sammy has defeated Scorpio to capture the belt for the third time. This ends Sky’s over-year-long undefeated streak in singles competition and time with the title at just 39 days.
Guevara had been trying to goad Sky into a title match by insulting him and vandalizing his car, but ultimately approached management when the champion continually turned down his challenges.
