Spoiler: Former WWE Superstar Makes AEW Debut On 5/20 AEW Rampage (Taped On 5/18)
A former WWE Superstar made their AEW debut this evening.
On May 18, AEW taped the May 20 episode of Rampage following the conclusion of Dynamite. One of the bouts advertised for the show was Shawn Spears versus a yet-unnamed opponent. According to those in attendance, the wrestler was none other than Big Damo (Killian Dain in WWE).
Spears would win the match, remaining strong as he heads into his cage match against Wardlow next Wednesday.

Damo and Spears (formerly Tye Dillinger in WWE) feuded from February to April 2017 as SAnitY climbed the ranks in NXT. Big Damo was eventually released by WWE in June 2021 after five years with the company. He has since gone on to perform for promotions such as NJPW, PROGRESS, and DEFY, among others.
