Spanish-Language Announcer Jerry Soto Confirms WWE Release

Jerry Soto was among the recent releases made by WWE.

Super Luchas first reported that Soto, who served as the Spanish-language commentator for WWE, was terminated on November 6. He had been furloughed since March.

Soto put out the following statement on his current status:

Hi. Officially, I don’t have a job. I’m taking a bit of your time to tell you that I’ve been on furlough since March. Now, the time has come to get another job, preferably acting . I write it here so that you have me in mind with employment opportunities. Thanks for your time. It is not the end, but another beginning. If you’ve lost your job too, patience, joy and strength, and everyone, a disinfected hug!

His last appearance on WWE programming was on March 19, appearing on WWE in Spanish with Marcelo.

WWE made multiple backstage releases on November 6 including long-time ring announcer Tony Chimel
