Sonya Deville Hopes To Cameo In A ‘Fast & Furious’ Film One Day
Sonya Deville wants to be a part of the WWE family for a long time to come and the Fast movies are all about family. Therefore, Sonya is a perfect fit.
Sonya Deville first appeared on WWE television as part of the most recent season of Tough Enough. That season also featured Mandy Rose and Patrick Clark. In the time since, she has gone on to become one of the more featured women on WWE’s roster, enjoying a current role as part of the on-screen management team alongside Adam Pearce.
Sonya’s first love was Mixed Martial Arts but she also knows that she would like a career in Hollywood one day. Speaking on the Constantly Evolving with Eve podcast, Deville revealed that she hopes to be part of the WWE family for a long time to come, noting that she is fortunate enough to have joined the industry at such a young age to where she sees herself involved for decades to come in some capacity.
Many in WWE, such as The Rock, John Cena, and The Miz, have also transitioned to acting as a way to further their career in entertainment and hopefully grow the overall footprint of WWE in the medium. Deville notes that she hopes to one day transition to acting, specifically stating that she would like a cameo in the Fast & Furious film franchise.
“I am someone who would love to be in the company for a very long time,” she began. “There are people that have been here for 40, 50 years, and sometimes, you go from wrestling to producing to commentary, there are so many ways to be a part [of WWE], and I am lucky enough that I am young and I got in so young. So, if I could have a 30-year career here, I would be extremely grateful for that.
“My passions, like I said, are entertaining. I would love to [find a career path] into Hollywood and acting, but a lot of people get the opportunity to do that with WWE. So that would be super cool to cameo in a Fast & Furious… That’s the stuff I love. So that’s something I would love to do.”
John Cena recently made his debut in the film franchise in F9 where he plays the brother to Vin Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto. The Rock, who started in the series with Fast Five, noted that he would no longer be appearing in the franchise recently.
“I wish them well on Fast 9,” Dwayne Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter. “I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”
Where one WWE Superstar will no longer be a part of the franchise, perhaps Sonya Deville can find her niche in the Fast & Furious family.
