Here is your post-Friday Night SmackDown fight size update for April 21, 2023.

Matt Riddle and Solo Sikoa waged war in a No Disqualification Match. Riddle held his own with Sikoa, and the two stars went back and forth in a chaotic battle. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) interfered and helped Sikoa clinch the win. After the bell, the trio attacked Riddle, and The Usos slammed him through a table.

Gunther defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods. The challenger delivered an impressive effort, and he seemingly had Gunther on the ropes, but “The Ring General” trapped him in a sleeper hold and made him pass out. As a result, Gunther retained the gold. 

– Zelina Vega noted that she couldn’t control what happens in the WWE Draft, but she can control what she does now. She made it clear that she wanted to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash. Adam Pearce told her that he’d talk to management and get back to her. WWE subsequently confirmed the match.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. In the end, Morgan poured water on Green, and Rodriguez helped her secure the three count.

The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) clashed with Ricochet and Braun Strowman. Despite the interference of Valhalla, Ricochet and Strowman scored the win. 

– A video package hyped up Shinsuke Nakamura. Killer Kross then continued to target Shinsuke Nakamura in a promo. He vowed to take Nakamura’s honor.

Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio of the LWO took on Damian Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day. The LWO duo nearly scored the win when Escobar hit a frog splash on Balor, but he wasn’t the legal man. Priest snuck back into the ring and pinned Escobar with the South of Heaven.

– After the match, Damian Priest looked forward to Bad Bunny’s return and said he hoped this appearance went better for him than the last one.

– The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) discussed their Undisputed Tag Team Championship match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Jimmy Uso vowed that the champions will get “bodied.”

– In a SmackDown Exclusive, Ricochet made it clear that he and Braun Strowman have their sights set on the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

– In a SmackDown Exclusive, Xavier Woods commented on his loss and noted that he doesn’t know where he goes next.

Rey Mysterio will face Damian Priest on the April 24 episode of WWE Raw.
