Soccer Star Finds Scoring “Too Sweet,” Unlikely To Be Hit With Cease and Desist

Scoring the game-winning goal against Tottenham was just “too sweet” for West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The header, set up by Manuel Lanzin on a corner cross, was Ogbonna’s first goal of the season and just the fourth of his career. It gave his club a 3-2 lead, capping off a comeback from a 2-0 deficit.

But the real story here is Ogbonna’s use of the “too sweet” hand gesture that has landed The Young Bucks in trouble. Matt and Nick Jackson were sent a cease and desist for constantly using the gesture, but it’s doubtful that same letter will arrive at Ogbonna’s door. After all, he’s not profiting from the gesture or showing up at Raw as part of a #WHInvasion.

This is no different than Patrick Beverley hitting Lonzo Ball with the “You Can’t See Me” gesture last week.

In fact, WWE will probably send Ogbonna a replica WWE World title. If nothing else, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman likely appreciated the shout out.
