Smackdown Youtube Rankings: Orton-Lesnar, Ziggler-Wyatt Both Deliver, Debut Match Falls Flat

The WWE and USA Network often use Neilson ratings to gauge interest in their programs. With technology increasing, the ratings systems haven’t changed that much, and we’re stuck not getting an appropriate quarter-hour breakdown. Fightful.com brings you a breakdown of the company’s weekly Youtube Rankings for each show.

Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton continues to be the hottest program on WWE TV. After gaining monster numbers for last week’s Raw segment, the two also topped the Smackdown Youtube charts by nearly doubling the next best segment. The first-time PPV matchup seems to have captured the imagination of their audience, at least as it pertains to Youtube viewers.

Dolph Ziggler retaining his title shot over Bray Wyatt was the second most viewed segment, and had another that finished in the top half, which is promising for Ziggler’s PPV angle with Dean Ambrose. Also performing well was AJ Styles’ challenge of John Cena, and Eva Marie’s fake injury angle. Although the Eva Marie video didn’t crack a million views, it did much better than most Smackdown women’s segments.

American Alpha’s debut fell flat, as did Rhyno’s latest appearance. Rhyno’s return actually did good numbers last week, but the interest just wasn’t there for week 2.
