Smackdown Viewership Numbers In As They Look To Topple Raw Again
This week's WWE Smackdown was unable to retain it's lead in the ratings over Raw.
According to ShowBuzz Daily, the first Smackdown of 2016 drew 2.596 million viewers, down big from last week's 2.885 million that beat Raw. This week's Raw hit 3.046 million.
Tuesday's show landed at number 10 in cable viewership behind The Have & Have Nots, Curse of Oak Island, Fixer Upper, Hannity, The O'Reilly Factor, The Kelly File, Tucker Carlson, Special Report and The Five. SmackDown was also #3 in the 18-49 demographic, behind The Have & Have Nots and Curse of Oak Island.
The main event of the show saw Dean Ambrose defeat The Miz to become WWE Intercontinental Champion. Also, WWE Champion AJ Styles and John Cena participated in a contract signing.
