SmackDown Live Produces Big TV Numbers

The start of WWE’s “New Era” saw a huge jump in viewership for the first SmackDown Live Tuesday night.

The show, which featured the WWE Draft, drew 3.170 million viewers. This is an astounding 53 percent increase from last week’s show, which was the last scheduled Thursday SmackDown show. This is the largest audience since the February 7, 2014, and also is the same amount viewers as this week’s RAW audience.

SmackDown was #6 for the night in viewership, due to the coverage on the Republican National Convention. SmackDown came in at #1 for the night in the 18-49 demographic. The show also ranked #2 among Neilsen’s Twitter rankings, also trailing the Republican National Convention.
