Smackdown 4/3 Viewership Drops For Second Week
Smackdown ratings have not be holding up like Raw.
This past month, Raw supported over 3 million average viewers for four weeks in a row and a couple weeks ago Smackdown had one of the highest viewership in a year. The last two episodes of Smackdown have slipped by over 400,000 viewers. According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week's episode averaged 2,467,000 viewers on April 3rd. The March 20th show had 2,888,000 viewers on average and that dropped to 2,576,000 last week.
Two weeks in a row, the first hour of Smackdown was competing with the reboot of Roseanne which received over 15 million viewers this week and 18 million last week. This week's NBA game was also popular with over 2 million people watching that game. The demographic breakdown was more competitive this week as Smackdown had around the same amount of 18 to 49 year old viewers as the two shows ranked directly below it.
On YouTube, the opening segment with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon received over one million views and the closest video to that mark was Charlotte Flair kicking the Money in the Bank briefcase from Carmella's hands with over 930 thousand views.
