Six Man Number One Contenders Match For IMPACT World Championship Announced For Under Siege
Kenny Omega’s next challenger for the IMPACT World Championship will be decided at Under Seige on May 15th.
The AEW World Champion defeated Rich Swann at Rebellion to win the Unified IMPACT Title at Rebellion. Contractually, Kenny is now required to appear on IMPACT television. On the latest episode of IMPACT, however, Don Callis tried to get away with Omega doing a “Zoom” appearance. Scott D’Amore told The Invisible Hand that if Omega didn’t show up before the end of the show that he would be stripped of the belt.
After that, D’Amore addressed the locker room from the ring, saying that a new number one contender would be crowned at the next IMPACT+ Special, Under Seige, in a huge Six-Way Match. Over the next two weeks, six qualifying matches will be held to determine the contestants in the match. The first bout saw Chris Bey defeat Jake Something.
This was Bey’s first match since March 9 when he defeated Ace Austin. The young star posted online on March 26th that he was not yet cleared to compete.

Later in the night, Matt Cardona defeated Brian Myers to become the second entrant in the Under Siege bout. Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards’ match was interrupted by Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers, with the Elite members beating up both men before FinJuice came out to make the save. Callihan was announced as the winner via disqualification, while Edwards will team with the IMPACT Tag Team Champions to face their assailants in a six-man tag match at Under Siege.
Moose versus James Storm, Rohit Raju versus Trey Miguel, and Chris Sabin versus Rhino have been announced for next week.
Omega is presumably en route to the arena. Callis was heard on the phone telling someone to “take the jet” so that they could be there in 30 minutes or less.
