Singles Match Made Official For ‘Money In The Bank’
Big Cass is looking for revenge.
Upon Daniel Bryan getting back into the swing of things after his momentous in-ring return at WrestleMania 34, one new member of the SmackDown Live roster made sure to "welcome" Bryan back to the full-time in-ring competitors list and that individual was Big Cass. Big Cass made his first appearance on WWE TV since tearing his ACL last summer–during SmackDown Live's 'Superstar Shake-Up' show.
The first encounter between the two men started a feud that would bring out the inner-lion in Daniel Bryan. The issues between Bryan & Cass led to a match at 'Backlash' which resulted in Bryan tapping the big man out in the middle of the ring. Their problems with one another did not stop there as Big Cass would continue to come after Daniel Bryan verbally and physically.
One of Big Cass' recent antics included ironically being "cleared" to return to in-ring competition the night that Daniel Bryan had a singles match against Samoa Joe with the winner of that bout advancing into the men's Money In The Bank Ladder match. Big Cass' return on that night led to him being placed in the match with Bryan and Joe seeing as how he was originally supposed to face Samoa Joe one-on-one until he was taken out by Daniel Bryan. During the match, due to Bryan being distracted by fighting off Big Cass, he was caught in the clutches of "The Destroyer" and was choked out. That apparently was the last straw for Bryan as it was announced today via WWE's official Twitter page that Daniel Bryan and Big Cass will meet once again on PPV at 'Money In The Bank' on June 17th.
