Here is your post-SmackDown Fight Size Update for Friday, May 14, 2021.

– Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman kicked off SmackDown with The Tribal Chief wanting to address Jimmy Uso and his unwillingness to acknowledge him last week. Jimmy came out and said that Roman is part of the family, but that he isn’t all of it. Roman then explained the burden he carries as Champion and challenged Jimmy to try and fill his shoes by beating Cesaro in a match. Jimmy issued the challenge which Cesaro quickly came out and accepted.

– After chasing the belts for the better part of two months, Natalya and Tamina defeated Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This is Tamina’s first major title win in WWE and the third for Natalya who had previously held the Divas and SmackDown Women’s Titles.

– Big E, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn all crashed Commander Azeez’s Medal of Honor Ceremony. A melee broke out, but Apollo Crews and his right-hand man escaped after Big E delivered The Big Ending to Kevin Owens.

Later in the night, Crews visited Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce to demand justice but ended up in a Fatal-4 Way Match against the aforementioned men next week with his title on the line.

Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler in singles action on SmackDown. Rey and Dominik will face off against Ziggler and Robert Roode at WrestleMania Backlash for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. After the match backstage, Ziggler and Roode confronted Rey and Dominik. After being insulted by Ziggler and called baby doll, Dominik responded that after they win on Sunday, they can refer to him as “Baby Champion.”

– Bianca Belair and Bayley exchanged words ahead of their SmackDown Women’s Championship Match this Sunday. Belair told Bayley that she is just angry that instead of main eventing WrestleMania she was being thrown down the ramp by the Bella Twins. Bayley responded that she sees a lot of her old self in Bianca, ie. the ponytail, the sequins, etc, and that her story is not going to end well. In fact, she predicts that it comes to an abrupt end this weekend.

– After losing to King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura attacked the 2019 King of the Ring winner and stole his crown, placing it upon his own head.

– Aleister Black read Chapter 3: The Lesson from his Tales of the Dark Father book. The vignette can be seen in the video below.

– Roman Reigns caused a disqualification finish in Cesaro and Jimmy Uso’s main event match. The Universal Champion attacked his upcoming opponent and threw him over the announce table. Jimmy Uso argued with his cousin, claiming that he had things under control. He proceeded to walk out on his family but was stopped on the ramp by Reigns. Cesaro meanwhile got back in the ring and began attacking Jey Uso. Reigns and Jimmy tried to take out the Swiss Superman, but neither were successful. Reigns was forced to watch from the ramp as Cesaro delivered two Neutralizers to Jey Uso.
