Shinsuke Nakamura Crowned The ‘One True King Of WWE’ On 6/18 WWE SmackDown
Shinsuke Nakamura is the one true king of WWE.
On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated King Corbin in the Battle for the Crown to officially become the one true king.
Nakamura finished off Corbin with the Kinshasa. After pinning Corbin, Nakamura took his place on the throne with the crown placed on his head by Rick Boogs. Corbin looked distraught in the ring watching Nakamura pose with the crown that he earned nearly two years ago.
Shinsuke Nakamura has become the first person to win the “King” crown outside the King of the Ring tournament since “Macho King” Randy Savage won it from Jim Duggan in 1989.
Long live the king.

Corbin secured the crown way back in September 2019 when he won the 2019 King of the Ring tournament. In recent weeks, Nakamura has become infatuated with the crown, stealing it and keeping it away from Corbin even in losses. Corbin recently commented that he would have no problem defending the crown in another King of the Ring tournament. It is unknown if Nakamura would be willing to do the same.
