The Shield Set To Open Raw

Three matches, including a Tag Team Title bout, have been announced for Raw. But the opening of the show sounds familiar.

WWE announced that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins — collectively known as The Shield — will open Raw on Monday night.

Last week, Reigns defended his WWE Universal Title in the main event against Constable Baron Corbin. The match was highlighted by the multiple run-ins by Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre. Despite their best efforts to ensure Corbin walked away with the belt, Rollins and Ambrose were around to make sure the title stayed in their family.

Monday marks the third time in four weeks The Shield will open Raw in some capacity. Meanwhile, you have to go all the way back to the Aug. 13 episode of Raw for the last time Roman Reigns was not involved in the opening segment.

Fightful will provide complete coverage on Raw tonight, including live results, reports on all the major happenings, and a post-show podcast.
