Sheamus Wanted To Bring Back “Too Many Limes” But Was Told The Theme Is Outdated

It’s a shameful thing…lobster head.

Fans may remember Sheamus’ initial theme where the lyrics may or may not have said “too many limes” as part of the chorus. Sheamus dropped the theme throughout the years as he switched up his look and grew as a performer, but upon his return to SmackDown, Sheamus re-appeared with a familiar look.

And he wanted his old theme to go along with his old look.

“I wanted to have my original music back,” Sheamus said on WWE’s The Bump. “I pushed for that and it was denied. I wanted ‘it’s a shameful thing, lobster head,’ or whatever it is. People make up their own…’Too many limes. Too many limes.’ I’ve heard it a million times. It depressed me more because I can’t use it. I love it. Everybody loves this music. I brought this to the powers that be and they basically said they don’t remember it. I was told they don’t remember the song. They said it was outdated. If everybody watching wants to hear the music back, get online, petition about it. And tell the powers that be. You tell them you want ‘Too Many Limes’ back.”

Previously, Sheamus revealed that WWE wanted him to return with a small mustache, suspenders, and his hair to one side. You can find his comments on how WWE wanted him to look upon his return by clicking here.
