Shayna Wayne Is The Matriarch, Daniel Garcia Wins, Keith Lee Remains Focused On Him | AEW Fight Size

Here’s your fight size update following AEW Collision on December 23, 2023. 

– Shayna Wayne has accepted her place as the matriarchy of Christian Cage’s Patriarchy. During a promo on December 23, Mother Wayne revealed why she aligned with Christian and turned on Adam Copeland feeling disgusted by the fact that Cope dropped her sweet baby boy, Nick Wayne, with a Con-Chair-To. 

– Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will face off in a No DQ match on AEW World’s End. Check out the full card for the event here. 

– Additionally, HOOK officially accepted the challenge of Wheeler Yuta for an FTW Rules FTW Title Match at the pay-per-view on December 30 that is being held at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. 

– Keith Lee defeated Brian Cage in singles action. After the match, with a cinder block in his hand, he reflected on how he was taken out last year and promised that on Dynamite, he would start tearing down “his” house, and he’s going to do so brick-by-brick. Commentary alluded to the fact that he’s referring to Swerve Strickland but Lee has yet to say his name personally.

– Daniel Garcia shocked the world and picked up his first and only points in the Continental Classic Tournament, rolling up Brody King for the surprise win. Post-match: Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews attacked Garcia. They also attacked Matt Menard for trying to make the save for his protege. 

– FTR would eventually save Menard and Garcia and subsequently challenge The House of Black to a tag team match. Learn more here. 

– In more tournament to action, Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson wrestled to the only time-limit draw of the entire tournament. This landed Danielson with 10 points and a spot in the semi-finals on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. 

– Toni Storm is completely focused on Riho and still completely oblivious to Mariah May

– The Acclaimed’s Max Caster & Anthony Bowens along with “Daddy Ass” successfully defended the AEW World Trios Titles against Top Flight’s Dante & Darius Martin as well as Action Andretti. This was their first championship defense in almost 50 days. The acclaimed was previously on the shelf thanks to an attack by The Devil’s henchmen.

– Chris Jericho is determined to defeat Ricky Starks and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, even if he has to find a tag team partner to replace Kenny Omega.

– Danielson will face Eddie Kingston. Kingston punched his ticket to Wednesday’s match by defeating Andrade El Idolo in a must-win scenario. 

– While Miro and CJ Perry were absent from the December 22 event, Miro is now free to act on his promise to go after Andrade now that his involvement in the tournament has concluded. 

– Learn the latest on the status of CJ Perry following her surgery for an infected finger here. 

– Thunder Rosa was successful in her first match in over a year. Rosa teamed with Abadon to defeat the tandem of Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
