Shawn Michaels Teases ‘Big, Big Surprises’ Coming To The NXT Roster

Shawn Michaels feels like NXT has the most stacked women’s roster in the world, and that can only add to the main roster as talents become ready to progress to the next stage. HBK is also teasing surprises for the men’s and women’s sides of the roster, which he is so proud of.

When WWE NXT moves to network television on October 1, the match between Giulia and Roxanne Perez for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship will be the first match to air on the CW.

Speaking about the depth of the women’s roster in NXT, Shawn Michaels told Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown that he believes the roster is the most stacked women’s division on the planet. He teased that there were more surprises in the pipeline.

“The best stacked women’s roster in all of the world, if you ask me,” Michaels told The Takedown. “Roxanne Perez, Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, and then, of course, two of the hottest free agents in all the world with Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. And there are other big, big surprises coming down the pike. If you thought we were stacked before, you haven’t seen anything yet, and that goes on both sides of the roster.”

Talking about WWE’s future with the possibility of any of the main women of NXT, including the newly signed Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia, HBK said that makes for an exciting “unbelievable” future for WWE.

“Right now, whether it be Raw or SmackDown, there are some of the most talented women in all the world. You talk about Bayley, Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, and numerous others. And then you think about the possibility of adding a Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jaida Parker, or a Roxanne Perez to that list. Absolutely unbelievable for the future of the WWE as a whole. We’re very excited about the work that we’re doing.”

With surprises and more being teased for NXT on the CW, the bedrock of development for WWE’s future is in for another evolution. Fans can read what Shawn Michaels recently said about production changes coming to the brand here.
