Shane Helms Says He Sent His Pay From All In Back To Cody Rhodes
Shane Helms returns his All In money.
All In was billed as the largest independent wrestling event ever with The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) and Cody Rhodes, with the help of others, put together an event that drew over 11,000 fans at Sears Centre Arena.
Shane Helms was part of the event, participating in the Zero Hour Over Budget Battle Royale.
Speaking to Jonathan “The Coach” Coachman and Tommy Carlucci on Behind The Turnbuckle, Helms said he gave back his payment for the bout.
“When they did All In, I worked for them on the show. Cody sent me a payday, and I sent it back. I said, ‘No, that was my gift to you guys. I want you guys to make it.’ So, I sent my payday back. Now that he’s got all this money, I might need to revisit that with a little interest. That’s how much I appreciated those guys and what they were doing. I thought they were going to bring something new and big. I didn’t think it was going to be an entire company, but I’m fascinated with what they were able to pull off,” said Helms.
Helms currently works as a producer in WWE. Rhodes is the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Elsewhere during the interview, Helms commented on working with CM Punk. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
