Now that Dulce Garcia, also known as Lucha Underground Sexy Star, has been getting less and less pro wrestling bookings as of late, she has refocused into her boxing career and recently won her second pro fight.
Garcia defeated Guadalupe Coral via unanimous decision on boxing card in Mexico on September 30 to improve her record to 2-0 after she won her first pro match back in April. Garcia revealed she would be transitioning into a boxing career last year, telling Fightful she won four of her five amateur bouts en route to her boxing debut earlier this year. Her first win was also via unanimous decision.
Garcia has been under scrutiny from the pro wrestling world for the past several weeks in regards to an incident she had with Impact Wrestling star Rosemary at AAA's TripleMania event back on August 26. Garcia applied a shoot armbar on an unsuspecting Rosemary at the end of the match, injuring her in the process.
Garcia spent the following few weeks explaining her actions and getting chastised from the wrestling community. As a result, Garcia was stripped of the Reina de Reinas title she held in AAA and has been getting removed from various wrestling events in the United States. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sexy Star was pulled from the October AAA show in Tokyo. At this time, it appears she’s done with the promotion in the aftermath of the Rosemary incident at TripleMania.
Even before becoming a wrestler, Garcia trained in boxing and has been getting help from her husband, former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez. As a wrestler, she has accomplished much in the ring, becoming the first female to hold the Lucha Underground Champion and is a three-time Reina de Reinas titleholder.
