Several Title Changes At NJPW Dominion
Outside of the highly anticipated Okada vs. Kenny Omega rematch, NJPW's Dominion show saw many titles change hands.
After losing all of their gold this spring, Bullet Club's Young Bucks regained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships in a match against Roppongi Vice. The Bucks are now in their sixth reigns as champions. Between ROH and NJPW, the duo have 9 tag team title reigns, and two six-man tag championship reigns.
They weren't the only Bullet Club team to find success at Dominion, as Guerrillas of Destiny became three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions by beating War Machine. The son of former WWF and WCW star Haku have made a big splash in NJPW since the team formed last year.
All-time junior heavyweight great KUSHIDA also reclaimed his crown as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. The now five-time champion regained the title from Hiromu Takahashi, who has held it since January's Wrestle Kingdom 11 show.
Last, but certainly not least, former NJPW Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi is a two-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, defeating Tetsuya Naito for the crown. Tanahashi now has an unbelievable sixteen title reigns in NJPW in total, in addition to two G1 Climax tournament wins and two New Japan Cup wins.
