Seth Rollins Says He Is Welcoming Of The Recent NXT Call Ups, Wants To See Who’ll Step Up
Rollins wants people around that are willing to put in the work.
“The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins stepped up the plate and won the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble match and is now one week away from his showdown against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. On the road to WrestleMania, some fresh faces have joined and/or made appearances on the main roster such as Ricochet, former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano. Seth Rollins is all for the superstars from NXT coming aboard as long as they put in the work. Seth said during an interview with ‘Newsweek’ that he remembers being the new guy in the locker room and the guys who were already there being distant and he wants to be the opposite of that to the new NXT call ups.
“It’s always good to see who is going to step up. I remember being the new guy on the block. I remember coming in before the Shield doing live events and tours; there was so much resistance to new guys coming in, and new guys pushing old guys out and everyone being so protective. I’m the opposite. I’m the guy who feels so comfortable where I’m at that I just want the best for our industry.” He said. “I want to see the guys who are going to put in the work and move this thing forward in the next 5-to-10 years. So it’s always cool to see a new batch of call ups like a Gargano, Ciampa, Aleister Black and Ricochet. Who is going to step up and be the first guy to break the glass ceiling so to speak?”
