Seth Rollins Officially Pulled From Team Hogan At WWE Crown Jewel 2019
The busy news week continues as WWE Now has dropped some major news regarding Crown Jewel.
As rumored earlier in the week, Seth Rollins has been officially pulled from the 5-on-5 Tag Team match scheduled to go down on Halloween in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Seth Rollins was scheduled to captain the team that will be cornered by Hulk Hogan and lead them into battle against a team cornered by Ric Flair.
This match was scheduled on the go-home show to the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, prior to the controversial match that Seth Rollins would have with Bray Wyatt.
Now, Rollins is scheduled to head to Saudi Arabia to defend the Universal Championship once again against The Fiend, only this time it will be contested under Falls Count Anywhere rules.
The last time we saw Seth, he was burning down the Wyatt Firefly Fun House as Monday Night Raw drew to a close. Now that he is free of his obligations to team Hogan, Seth can put all of his energy into the championship match.
There is an added element to this match due to the 2019 WWE Draft. should Seth Rollins lose to The Fiend, Monday Night Raw will be without a world champion, as Bray Wyatt and the current WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar are both on SmackDown.
As for Team Hogan vs. Team Flair, the announced names heavily tip the scales in Flair’s favor as with the omission of Seth Rollins, Team Hogan only has two announced members while Flair has four.
Currently, representing Team Hogan are Rusev and Ricochet. Team Flair currently has Randy Orton, King Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
Both Hogan and Flair are scheduled for the go-home show before Crown Jewel which will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019.
