Seth Rollins paid tribute to Brodie Lee at a WWE live event over the weekend.

Lee signed with WWE in 2012. He was renamed Luke Harper, and he eventually arrived on the main roster as a member of he Wyatt Family alongside Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. The trio became one of the most memorable acts in recent history. Among other highlights, the group had an unforgettable clash with The Shield (Seth Rollins, Dean Amrbose, and Roman Reigns) at WWE Elimination Chamber 2014. During his time with the company, Lee won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice, and he also held the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

He left WWE in 2019 and subsequently signed with AEW in 2020. Lee was revealed as The Exalted One, and he had a prominent run as the leader of the Dark Order. He captured the TNT Championship, but his time with the company was cut short due to health issues. On December 26, 2020, Lee passed away due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

At the WWE Holiday Tour Supershow in Rochester, New York on December 3, Rollins shared an emotional message about Lee in his hometown. The clip (courtesy of Ella Jay) is below.

In his message, Rollins noted that the show marked the first time he was back in the ring in Rochester since Lee passed away. He stated that he loved Lee and missed him. Rollins also emphasized that the show was for Lee, and he feels like that’s the case every time WWE is in Rochester.

“He passed away a couple years ago about this time. This is really I’ve been here with a microphone in his city to tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him. I just wanted to say tonight was for him. Every single time we’re in Rochester, in my heart, it means we’re here for him. It’s Saturday, and you know what that means. So do your damn thing and sing my son,” Rollins said.
