Session Moth Martina Reflects On Being Told That She Will Be Able To Complete One Of Her Major Goals, Which Is To Compete In Japan
What may seem regular to others, could be a dream come true for some.
Independent and well experienced pro-wrestler, Session Moth Martina, has noted on Twitter that she will be heading to Japan in April as a part of the 'Stardom' women's wrestling promotion. Competing in Japan has been a lifelong dream for the Irish wrestler and in two months, that dream will come true.
While speaking to the Irish sports website, Balls.ie, Session Moth Martina would state that although she's known for a while about heading to Japan, it is still a shock to her realizing that she will be to wrestling in "The Land Of The Rising Sun" in two months.
"It's always been something I dreamed about since I started wrestling, long before Martina ever became a thing and even with all my success, I am still in the stage where I find myself shocked to be working every weekend and with some of the biggest companies in Europe. That was my first goal of last year, to mark off all the top promotions. But even as I did that, I never expected it to travel as far as Japan, for the biggest women's promotion over there. I still think I'm in shock, even though I've known a while now, it doesn't feel real."
Martina is two-time 'Over The Top Wrestling' Women's Champion; has held gold in ICW and many other promotions. She has made quite the name for herself on the independent wrestling scene, but heading to a major promotion such as Stardom, can take Moth Martina places she's never been in her career.
"I really love the independent scene right now. All my friends are a part of it, it's my life, I really enjoy what I do, but the chance to go to Japan doesn't come everyday. It's something I've wanted for years, so as much as I'll miss my regular shows while I'm gone, I know I'm doing something no other Irish girl has done." She added. "This is possibly the biggest step I can take in my career. This was my personal biggest achievement and where I always wanted to end up. So I guess after it, I'm hoping to return and continue working for my favorite promotions and hope it can continue as it has."
Keep your eyes locked in on Session Moth Martina, as she looks to continue to make waves in the wrestling scene and grow her stock while venturing to Japan in April.
