Semi-Finals Set In WWE’s King Of The Ring And Queen’s Crown Tournaments
The semi-finals are set in WWE’s King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments.
This past Friday night on SmackDown, the first two matches from the men’s and women’s brackets took place. Carmella and Zelina Vega made it past their opponents, as did Sami Zayn and Finn Balor. Those semi-final matches are set to take place this Friday, October 15, 2021.
During this evening’s edition of WWE Raw, the first round of both tournaments officially came to an end. In the first match of the night, Xavier Woods came one step closer to achieving his dream by defeating Ricochet. Later on, his fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston came up short against Jinder Mahal. As a result, Xavier will face Jinder next Monday with a spot in the finals on the line.
In the Queen’s Crown tournament, Shayna Baszler made quick work of Dana Brooke, beating her in under two minutes. Later in the night, the woman who confronted her last week, Doudrop, defeated Natalya to secure the other semi-final spot. Shayna and Doudrop will do battle next week on Raw with the winner going on to face the winner of the Carmella/Zelina Vega match at Crown Jewel.
