On the August 19 episode of AEW Rampage, Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends battled The Trustbusters (Ari Daivari, Parker Boudreaux, and Slim J) in the main event. Both teams threw everything they had at each other throughout the contest. Late in the bout, Cassidy took Boudreaux down with an Orange Punch. Danhausen appeared in the crowd and cursed Sonny Kiss, who accompanied her team to ringside.
With Kiss removed from the equation, Cassidy pinned Slim J with a triple-team splash to clinch the win.

As a result, the trio moved on to the next round. Cassidy and the Best Friends will face the winner of the match between the House of Black and the Dark Order, which will be held on the August 26 edition of AEW Rampage.
