– Per Chris Charlton, Yuka Tsuji was the 600th person to grace the Wrestle Kingdom ring. Ryusuke Taguchi was the first, and he was also on the card.
– Over the past month, Great Sasuke has worked Michinoku Pro, AJPW, NJPW, Big Japan….and an indie in Florida. He was working his first NJPW match in over eight years. It was his first Wrestle Kingdom.
– KENTA made his first Tokyo Dome wrestling appearance since 2005.
– Seven straight Wrestle Kingdom events have seen new IWGP Tag Team Champions.
– The Guerrillas of Destiny end their IWGP Tag Team Title reign as the longest reigning champions since Anderson & Gallows in 2014-2015. They defended the titles more then any team since 2010-2012.
– Before night two of Wrestle Kingdom, Toru Yano had won his last seven matches at Wrestle Kingdom. Prior to that, he’d lost six in a row. Overall, he’s had 15 Wrestle Kingdom matches in 14 years.
– Jushin Thunder Liger has 4,197 matches documented on Cagematch.net.
– Bullet Club kicked off Wrestle Kingdom by losing their first six matches of the weekend. Jay White broke the streak and was their only win.
– Mayu Iwatani and Arisa Hoshiki won the first-ever Wrestle Kingdom women’s match.
– Chris Jericho, Jushin Thunder Liger, Shinjiro Otani, Yuji Nagata, Tatsumi Fujunami, Manabu Nakanishi (The former Kurasawa), and Hiroyoshi Tenzan all performed on Wrestle Kingdom, and had worked WCW dates in the 1990s.
– Chris Jericho, The Great Sasuke, Tatsumi Fujinami all appeared on Wrestle Kingdom and had worked WWF dates in the 90s or prior. Tiger Mask had also wrestled on WWF’s Super Astros show in the 1990s.
– Champions for NJPW, Ring of Honor, All Elite Wrestling, Rev Pro, Stardom all competed at Wrestle Kingdom.
– Hirooki Goto moved to 6-0 in title matches at the Tokyo Dome.
– Sunday’s match with Hiroshi Tanahashi was Chris Jericho’s first non-title match in the company since 1997. Over his six prior matches, he’d competed for four different titles.
– Chris Jericho competed in the Tokyo Dome 23 years after his Tokyo Dome debut as Super Liger in 1997.
– Tatsumi Fujinami’s match was his first in NJPW since 2008. This prevented him from competing in NJPW in every decade since the 1970s. Great Sasuke has only worked approximately 50 NJPW dates, but has done it across four different decades now.
– Hiroshi Tanahashi has now competed across four decades in NJPW as well. He’s also competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling each year over the past 22 years. Jushin Thunder Liger retired having competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling in each of the last 37 years.
– Minoru Suzuki at 51 years old, worked 127 matches over the past year in NJPW alone.
– Since June, Jon Moxley has already doubled his number of matches in Japan with NJPW that he had over five years with WWE.
– Members of the All Elite Wrestling roster went 3-0 at Wrestle Kingdom.
– Kenny Omega, Kushida, Cody Rhodes, Young Bucks, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru were all in championship matches at Wrestle Kingdom 13, and didn’t compete at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
– For the first time since Keiji Muto, a Wrestle Kingdom main eventer (Kenny Omega) was gone from New Japan Pro Wrestling by the time the next Wrestle Kingdom rolled around.
– Kota Ibushi ended up losing both of his matches at Wrestle Kingdom this year. He’s now lost three straight Wrestle Kingdom matches.
