Scott Norton Says Joey Janela Would Fit In Japan, NWO Sting Talks Working Spring Break

Joey Janela — Japanese wrestling star? Some WCW veterans think so.

Fightful was able to speak to several former NJPW and WCW stars, including an IWGP Heavyweight Champion in Scott Norton. After reaching such heights in Japan, we asked him who he thought could make a splash there that hasn’t as of yet.

“Just recently in the last three or four years, I’ve had a series of matches with Joey Janela. He’d be perfect for Japan! One, he’s tougher than pine knot. The dude’s a bad ass. The dude is great,” Norton told us

Norton was sitting feet away from NWO Sting, who also had experience in Japan, and had prior experience with “The Bad Boy” as well.

Still in great shape, NWO Sting, aka Jeff Farmer worked a battle royal at WrestleCade the night before we spoke. It wasn’t his first of the year, as Joey Janela was able to land him for the Spring Break Clusterfuck months before. Much like Scott Norton, who sat next to Farmer, NWO Sting was quick to put over the AEW star, and said that the appearances have led to more booking requests.

“That was awesome. Joey [Janela]’s a great guy. It was nice to be a part of it. I don’t do much. It was to get me off the couch kind of [thing], although I’m not the couch. But, it was great to do it. I get that. “Hey, are you still in [???]?” I’d say, “No, I’m working. I work in Miami,” and blah blah blah. But, it’s nice to do something like this. Especially to see the fans, give back a little bit. I like that part,” said Farmer.
