Scorpio Sky Talks His Frustration With A Lack Of TV Time, His ‘Mamba Mentality’ Towards AEW
Scorpio Sky has a “Mamba Mentality” in regards to his AEW career.
In a widely praised promo that aired earlier this month on AEW Dark, Scorpio Sky vented his frustration about his recent residency on Tuesday night’s YouTube-exclusive show as opposed to AEW Dynamite on TNT. He would receive a championship match against Cody Rhodes for AEW’s TNT Championship but come up short in his attempt to become the second-ever TNT Champion.
It’s time to push Scorpio Sky. Great promo.

Speaking with Bleacher Report Live, Sky opened up about his frustrations and how much realism shone through in his promo on AEW Dark.
“It’s obviously a little bit frustrating, and I think that kind of came out in my interview on AEW Dark a few weeks ago,” said Sky. “I understand that we only have two hours of television time every week and we have a lot of talents to showcase, so you’re not going to be on as much as you’d like to be on. But I’m a competitor, man, and I want to be involved.”
He continued, “I think about it a lot like sports in the sense [that] I feel like I should be a starter in the year, kind of like, why am I coming off the bench? Why is this guy getting 30 minutes a night and I’m getting 12? So as I said a moment ago, I’m a competitor and I am I’m always going to want more. It’s that Mamba mentality of always reaching for the next goal and the next goal and the next goal. So that’s kind of what that was about. It was a little tongue-in-cheek, but there was some serious seriousness to every joke, as they say.”
On the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Sky banded with Matt Cardona, QT Marshall, and Dustin Rhodes in an effort to neutralize The Dark Order and new AEW TNT Champion, Mr. Brodie Lee.
